Metzgerwirt

In the ancient house Metzgerwirt had been at  1416 the administration offices off a mining Company . 1658 it was mention ed as the butcher house .1760 the Smeltery of the mining company burned down and wasn't rebuilt. 1805 The mining Company had closed.

After a chequered history with many owners and tenants Mr. Josef Simair baught the runed down Metzgerwirt and the butcher shop at 1935 .

Quote of  Josef Simair:

 " If i would have looked at the roof i wouldn't bought the Metzgterwirt . Everbody has said that must be mad to buy such a ruin.

1947/50 the Metzgerwirt was rebuild.
1967 Josef Simair handed over the Metzgerwirt to his son Christian with the word:

"Im warning you about one thing: Tourism will not last very long"

Christian enlarged and modernised the Metzgerwirt a  1969 and at 1973 also he closed the butcher-shop who was runed by tenants.

After several refurbishments Christian bought the next door Erich Miksch house a guest house with 40 beds 

1990 the two buildings were conected by a middle section, renovated lavishly and equipped with several installations for the benefit of our Guests. In the year 2000 the Metzgerwirt was handed over to his son Christian
